Rob Pitchforth and Carolyn Millington established Steamworks NZ Ltd in 2008, launching a quality Italian commercial steam cleaner range into the New Zealand market.
Steam has become an alternative to traditional cleaning methods, reducing the amount of water and chemicals and decreasing the time and cost of cleaning jobs.
Steamworks® provides sales, training and support services to the healthcare, hospitality, food and beverage processors, transport, leisure and commercial cleaning sectors.
Steamworks NZ is a specialist in matching the right steam cleaner for a business customer to solve a cleaning problem. With 15 years in the steam business in New Zealand we have seen many applications and issues facing customers and provide Italian steam cleaners to solve those cleaning problems.
We provide technical backup support and hold parts for all our steam units in New Zealand.
Rob Pitchforth and Carolyn Millington are the founders of Steamworks NZ Limited. Steamworks® has been supplying and servicing Steam cleaners to the New Zealand and South Pacific markets since 2008.
Rob’s background in the building industry working with ceramic tiles led to his desire to find a solution for cleaning tiles without harsh chemicals.
The early applications for using steam were domestic and light commercial cleaning. However, with the availability of robust technology and tools, steam can be used as a successful, cost-effective, chemical-free cleaning outcome in many industry settings e.g. food processing, beverages (wine, beer, soft drink processing), bakeries, hospitality and rest homes.
Both Rob and Carolyn have extensive knowledge of cleaning solutions using steam in domestic, commercial and industrial cleaning situations. The steam machines that we sell are all Italian-made and we hold spare parts in Wellington to enable fast service and support to the many valued customers of Steamworks NZ Limited.
Rob Pitchforth
Rob has 15 years experience in providing some of New Zealand’s most well known Brands and companies steam cleaning solutions. His skill is in listening to the problem and finding a steam solution for fix it!
With his knowledge of steam he can advise if steam is the solution to the problem or not.
Carolyn Millington
Carolyn helps Rob with the company administration and the management of training and large projects. Carolyn is a Senior consultant and has experience in Programme, Project and Change Management.
